Registrants will receive access to the recordings afterward.\nABOUT THE PROGRAM\nPlato once wrote that “beautiful things are difficult.” Christian theologians across the centuries have wrestled with that difficulty, seeking to understand what beauty reveals about God, creation, and the human person. Drawing on themes from Saving Beauty: A Theological Aesthetics of Nature, this course explores beauty—especially natural beauty—as a source of religious insight that draws us into healing, community, and hope.\nTogether we will trace the theological history of natural beauty, consider how experiences of nature reveal both the need for and the promise of salvation, and engage works of art that illuminate the world around us.
