The Center for Anglican Communion Studies (CACS) 25th Anniversary

Date: September 13, 2022

Today we have a birthday to celebrate. The Center for Anglican Communion Studies marks 25 years of service and witness this year, and to launch the celebration there will be festivities in Scott Lounge from 11:30 – 1 pm.

Discussions around a way to resource world Anglicanism began under Dean Richard Reid in the early 1990s and the Center was officially launched in 1997 under Dean Martha Horne. We truly owe them our gratitude for their faith and vision.

Over 25 years the Center has become a trusted, valued source of reflection and engagement for our brothers and sisters across the Communion, as well as our ecumenical and interfaith friends.

Take some time to celebrate with the staff of the Center today: the Rev. Dr. Katherine Grieb, Director; Hartley Wensing, Associate Director; Courtney Henderson-Adams, Administrative Coordinator; Luis Hernández-Rivas, Maxine King, and Carolyne Adhola, Project Assistants.

Learn about their programs this fall. I am honored to be part one of the first ones on September 20 discussing the recent Lambeth Conference of Bishops in Canterbury.

Find out about becoming a Companion of the Center.

Get to know all the ways they can be your source for all things Anglican Communion.

The Very Rev. Ian S. Markham, Ph.D.
