Linda L. Dienno

Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Linda L. Dienno is the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. She came to VTS in 2013 as Director of Development. She joined the senior leadership team as Vice President for Institutional Advancement in 2017.

Linda L. Dienno is Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Her passion is stewarding others to connect their philanthropic desires with the needs of mission and ministry. She believes there is theology as well as art and science in the world of philanthropy. She has raised more than $60 million in charitable giving through her 25-year advancement career. Her strengths include annual funds, capital campaigns, major gifts, bequests, grant writing, and communications.

Before coming to VTS, she served as Director of Development at Christ Church in Alexandria, VA, and as director of the Combined Federal Campaign Overseas.

Ms. Dienno is currently working on her Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership with a concentration in philanthropy and resource development from Denver University. The degree’s emphases on research and strategies that include social media, donor diversity, and the science of change are compelling topics in this current time.

She received a Bachelor of Psychology degree cum laude from the University of Maryland, Overseas Division; is a graduate of Education for Ministry (EfM) from Sewanee: The University of the South; and an honor graduate in Italian Language from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

Ms. Dienno is a member of the Seminary’s senior leadership team. She serves on the board of the North American Committee for St. George’s College, Jerusalem and is on the steering committee of the African American Episcopal Historical Collection.

Ms. Dienno presents information to groups on a wide range of stewardship and fundraising topics.
