Seniors hosted the Faculty

Date: May 6, 2024

It was a lovely evening. Last night, we gathered in Bicentennial Hall. The seniors had decided that as their thank you, they would like to provide dinner for the Faculty. The food was lovely; and the paper plate awards were totally appropriate. My award was ‘person most likely to say marking the moment’ – and given I have said that repeatedly for the last five years, it made sense. Thank you Seniors for the party.

Tonight there is the Senior BBQ at the Deanery. It is an opportunity to thank the Seniors for everything they had brought to our community for three years. As class president Dana Jean noted this was the first class post-pandemic to have a normal journey through the Seminary. It is also the first class to enjoy the forty million dollars of campus renovations – so the Refectory, 1823 terrace, Addison, Library all still feel new. Tonight we celebrate a new normality post pandemic and post construction.

My mantra is always the same: once you are part of VTS you are always part of VTS. We are grateful to our seniors in all the ways they have been present. We look forward to celebrating this week with them.
