The AAEHC preserves and assists in researching the experiences of Black Episcopalians through institutional records, oral histories, personal papers, and media.

Black Episcopalian Oral History Program:

We are grateful to the HSEC for its annual contributions supporting this program. Contact the AAEHC for the official transcripts. The recordings are available on our Youtube Channel.

Travel Grant Program:

Thanks to a generous grant from the HSEC, travel reimbursement grants are available for AAEHC research.
Faculty, graduate students, undergraduates, independent researchers, and Episcopal (and non-Episcopal) clergy and laypersons are encouraged to apply. Funds may be used for transportation, meals, lodging, photocopying, and other research costs.

Applications for the 2025/2026 academic year are now closed.
