(Re)engage the Bible in strikingly new ways through a dialog between scriptural texts and compelling artworks from across history and cultures. Rather than a course in art history, this offering engages Scripture anew using visual art that opens the biblical text and offers new perspectives on its theological and spiritual themes. Join Dr. Stephen L. Cook, senior faculty at VTS, in exploring scripture readings from the Fall 2021 Sunday lectionary. Class members who attend church or who preach or teach in the church will deeply engage the very Scriptures assigned for the faithful to hear and study in the period before Advent 2021.
