Join us on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 7:00pm for the Mollegen Forum featuring The Rt. Rev. Dr. Mariann Edgar Budde (VTS ’89, ’09), Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. This year’s theme, “The Politics of Mercy,” invites us to reflect on how faith leaders, congregations, and institutions are being called to meet this moment with courage, compassion, and clarity. Grounded in the works of mercy named in Matthew 25—feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, welcoming the stranger, and visiting the sick and imprisoned—we will consider the distinctive politics that emerge when Christian communities center mercy as a public witness and spiritual practice.

A community reception will follow at 8:15pm, offering space for further conversation, connection, and engagement.  Hosted by the Saint Nicholas Center for Faith & Justice at Virginia Theological Seminary.
