A medical procedure

Date: January 17, 2024

I do admire the Presiding Bishop in so many ways. And part of the Most Rev. Michael Curry’s witness in this season of hospitalization is to be completely transparent about his medical condition. We have all known the details: we have all be able to pray deeply and intentionally for his recovery.

I am not sure that I will be as transparent: but I am sharing with the community that I will be having surgery today and will be recovering for the rest of the week and hopefully not longer. It is not a life-threatening condition; doctors are confident about a full recovery. But like all surgery, there will be a recovery time.

I appreciate any prayers. I am conscious that I am one of countless people who are facing surgery today. I pray for them as I go into hospital for an overnight stay.
