Today, I am participating in a “Virtual Coffee Hour with the Dean”. Our guests are from New England – various alums and friends will gather. It is an opportunity to share the journey of the Seminary and this pandemic. We will show pictures of the construction across the campus and progress made to date. And yes, of course, we will invite them to appear on the Saints and Stories wall as a donor to this historic campaign.
Putting together a Virtual Coffee Hour has some complexity. Invitations need to go out; a link needs to be created; and a program put together. Under the leadership of Institutional Advancement, Shelagh Casey Brown and Jeffri Harre are doing the hard work of organizing the logistics.
I am grateful for these opportunities to connect. This is important work. In the end, we believe in presence and proximity; but this partial presence and proximity made possible by a zoom call will be the gift we can have at this time.
