Since March 1, every employee is now present on the campus at least three days a week. Naturally, facilities, housekeeping, library, IA, Finance, and The Butterfly House have been on the campus for months and months five days a week; and now those departments that have been largely remote working are also coming back to the campus.
For students, this means that if you have a question then you can make the journey to Lifelong Learning or to Academic Administration and Student Life or to Finance or even the Dean’s Office and ask your question face to face (while of course continuing to physically distance and wear masks). Sometimes the simple question doesn’t really need a half-hour zoom appointment. Instead all you need to do is to stand at someone’s door and ask the question for five minutes. This is now an option.
We are not doing a “Texas” (which abolished the mask mandate yesterday). We continue to tread carefully into the future. But this safe, modest option of a quick face-to-face conversation is now available to the VTS community.
