Bee abundance

Date: August 25, 2026

Cultivate VTS is a wonderful expression of care for creation and community life. This year the apiary grew from two hives to four and produced around 100 pounds of honey—a harvest achieved a full year earlier than expected. The hope is to keep both the Flamingo and Welcome Center stocked with VTS honey throughout the year.

Bees are vital to the plant ecosystem. As pollinators, they help flowering plants, trees, and food crops reproduce, sustaining biodiversity and the wider web of life. Caring for bees is therefore a practical and visible way of caring for creation.

Special thanks to Gariné Adams for her leadership, enthusiasm, and faithful stewardship of this ministry. She has helped Cultivate VTS develop into a flourishing apiary and is already preparing to pass the work on to future student leaders. We are deeply grateful to Gariné and everyone involved.
