Yesterday, the Board was in retreat. We had the privilege of hearing from Dr. Dan Aleshire, the retired head of the Association of Theological Schools. He was very helpful, exploring with the Board the challenge of members navigating two seminaries and some of the factors that are important in a Dean and President search.
Today, the Board has a plenary session where we will learn about the rare books that belong to The General Theological Seminary, the pedagogical expertise of those working on the Hybrid at The General Theological Seminary, and consider the Affiliation Strategic Plan. This is an important day of learning and deliberation.
I always enjoy seeing the Board. They enjoy talking to students, so I encourage you to find time to speak with Board members. Some will be at breakfast and lunch—please do chat with them.
