On any given day, there is always something happening at Virginia Theological Seminary. Sometimes it is just friends gathering; it is often children playing together; and the dog park is a hive of constant activity.
On Saturday, the campus provided the venue for countless guests at a wedding reception. Our faculty colleague and friend, Dr. Elizabeth DeGaynor, had found love. She was getting married to Mr. Daniel Crane. It was an occasion of considerable joy. Their friends and families gathered on the campus. It was a beautiful and delightful moment.
We want the campus to be used. It is a beautiful space. We want friends to visit; we want the neighborhood to enjoy 1823; we want the descendants to enjoy lunch in the Refectory; and yes we love having moments of celebration, like Saturday night, on the campus. We aspire to be good stewards of these spaces. Using the spaces is part of that stewardship.
