Date: June 28, 2022
The Lifelong Learning team is hard at work preparing our programming and resources for the 2022-2023 academic and fiscal year, with events starting as early as next week! Here’s a sneak peek of what we have in store for you:
- Building Faith offers resources to equip and inspire the ministry of formation all year long. Peruse articles at your leisure or sign up to receive them in your inbox. Forma, the network for Christian formation is now a ministry of Lifelong Learning. Join Forma to stay apprised of the field of formation and stay tuned for information on the annual conference in January 2023. Forma members also receive a 25% discount on Lifelong Learning live programming. Every week our team offers Open Office Hours to engage in conversation in all areas of ministry (clergy, children’s, youth, adult education, etc.).
- We are very excited to be launching our Formation Fundamentals Book Group this year. The group enables developing church leaders to read and discuss essential literature and supports them as they collaboratively develop innovative approaches to formation for their parish communities.
- We are still in the planning stages for a Back to School Night in August, seasonal planning workshops to be hosted on our online platform, a Symposium in November, and an event on the ministry of women in March.
- We’re also planning short (4-6 weeks) courses on topics like August Wilson’s Aunt Ester plays, faith & conspiracy theories, poetry as prayer, and preaching.
Keep an eye on the VTS Eventbrite page and subscribe to our eNewsletter to be the first to know about new programming as it develops!
