As we build up to the May Board meeting, we are working through the sub-committees of the Board of Trustees. We need to have meetings for both institutions – VTS and GTS. Like Community Life on Monday, this means that we start with one institution (GTS in this case) and then move to the other institution (VTS). This year, the Investment Committee has had two long meetings. VTS gathered last Friday; GTS was on Monday.
All Board meetings involve significant work. Ms. Taryn Habberley oversees all Board work and manages the many complexities. Then each committee has a staff person: Associate Dean Rachelle Sam handles Community Life, Mr. Terrell Whitaker handles Investment, and Senior Vice President Nicky Burridge handles Institutional Advancement.
This work is important. We need to be well governed. We need to make sure that the Board has the information it needs to ensure appropriate oversight of these two Seminaries.
