Today, the Faculty gather for a day long meeting. The summer has been full: doctoral programming, various grant initiatives, and yes, some space to read and write. Now the business of the academic year starts afresh. We will think anew about our work and what we are called to do.
Our Faculty is impressive. Without exception, all are significant players in their academic field. Many have major publications (or the equivalent, such as a Lilly grant or a composition). We are a cutting edge Faculty – on top of the literature in our fields.
Some of our colleagues are returning from sabbatical; others are going on sabbatical. We will also start two searches for new Faculty. It is a changing group of colleagues, but with one constant feature: we love God, we seek to serve Christ, and we want to play our part in strengthening the Church.
