During the doctoral summer intensive, we will have worship Monday through Friday at noon in the Immanuel Chapel. We have Eucharist on Mondays and Fridays, while Tuesday through Thursday are noonday prayer. Given the interdenominational representation of VTS doctoral programs, services will draw from a number of denominational traditions. All are welcome, please join us! We will also have Morning Prayer daily at 7am. Services begin on June 19 and run through July 7.
We’re so pleased to welcome back Dr. Lyn Loewi as our summer musician this year. Dr. Loewi serves as Associate Organist at Saint John’s Church, Lafayette Square. Her musicianship and her spirit were a gift to our residency last year. Her music captures the spirit of our residency! We’re also grateful to Ellen Johnston who assembled wonderful liturgies this year, and to Dr. Marty Wheeler Burnett for her gracious and careful support of these services.
