I am delighted to share the news that Dr. Ellen Davis is our commencement speaker for May 2025. Ellen Davis is the Amos Ragan Kearns Distinguished Professor of Bible and Practical Theology at Duke Divinity School. She is the author of eleven books and numerous articles. She is best known for her pioneering work in Bible, the ecological crisis, and interfaith dialogue.
We are delighted that she will be coming home. She was a professor on our faculty at VTS from 1996 to 2001. She is an Episcopalian who has served the Church and the Anglican Communion for many years.
We are grateful for her willingness to accept our invitation to be our commencement speaker.
