Welcome to November 5, 2024. As a Seminary, we encourage everyone to participate in civic life by casting their vote. Democracy is an invitation to give the people the power. It is the vote of the citizens of a country who will determine the leadership of the country. If you have not voted already, then please do so today.
And the Board of Trustees will be in town today. These are volunteers who give generously of their time to ensure the effective operation of Virginia Theological Seminary and The General Theological Seminary. Our Trustees love talking to the students. Do please find time to sit with and share your experience of Seminary with our Board members.
I confess it is not ideal that these two moments coincided at the same time. The Trustees Committee is already prepared to make sure it does not happen again.
