Wellness is a priority at VTS. We offer spiritual wellness through chapel eucharists and prayer services. Mental wellness via seminary courses, trainings and offerings with Lifelong Learning. Emotional wellness through community and sharing meals and stories in the Refectory. Physical wellness with opportunities like the Capital Bikeshare program (VTS now offers annual discounts to students). Holistic wellness through balance with Spiritual Direction and many other ways.
Student Life is excited to invite you and your loved ones to the flu clinic tomorrow, October 28. This event will be held in the Lettie Pate Event Room from 9a-3p. There will be three nurses from Kaiser Permanente to provide vaccines to all in the VTS community aged 18 or older. Walk-ins are welcome but signing up will expedite your intake process!
Here’s some information about flu vaccines. The CDC describes the “Influenza (flu) vaccines (often called “flu shots”) are vaccines that protect against the four influenza viruses that research indicates will be most common during the upcoming season”. And “ All flu vaccines for the 2022-2023 season are …designed to protect against four different flu viruses, including two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses”.
Join us in protecting the VTS community. This event is free to participants! Just stop by LPER tomorrow between 9a-3p. Please bring your ID and mask while in LPER (masks will be provided if you don’t have one).
