I am not sure if anyone knows. But the next time you are walking past the new Welcome Center, do please look up. The Board of Trustees did not let us “value engineer” out the solar panels. So, there they are. The first building on the campus to lock in the power of the sun to fuel the building.
Meanwhile, out two EV stations are doing a roaring trade. They are almost in constant use. We will be adding signage making it clear that it is a for charging and not parking. We have had some cars staying in the space well beyond their charging needs. Please be considerate to those who are waiting for the space.
All of this is good news. It is just a start, but an important one. We are reducing our carbon footprint. This is right and appropriate.
