The Butterfly House has welcomed many new families and children over the years. This year we enrolled more children than ever, and with an extensive wait list next year, we plan to reach capacity!
Our teachers have enjoyed gaining more knowledge of our Reggio Emilia-based approach to learning. The premise of this approach is that a child has the right to be the protagonist of their own learning. This is a child-centered approach where we are all collaborators and partners in the child’s educational journey.
We also now have a certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom! Our philosophy is heavily based around outdoor learning experiences. We believe when children play outside in an unstructured setting, they are free to create, engage, explore freely, and so much more. There are no pre-established rules to these activities so, children often use creativity and problem-solving skills to create them. Our Outdoor Classroom is being used in so many creative and engaging ways!
As we continue to build our community, the administrators and teachers at The Butterfly House are looking forward to a successful 2022-2023 school year with many new adventures ahead!
