The weather is stunning (although a tad chilly); greenery is everywhere; and Jesus is alive. We start the Easter season. It is a joy to welcome every reader into this season.
Today we have a Board committee retreat. From time to time, the complexities of the work of certain committees are such that we need some sustained focused time. One strength of Virginia Theological Seminary has been its governance. On all the key indicators – recruitment, fiscal stability, fundraising – the Seminary is doing well. And the Board leadership of the Seminary is a crucial part of that success. The Board takes deeply seriously the responsibility to ensure that there is a continuing success.
If you see a Board Committee member on the campus, please do say hello. In the end they give generously of their time to support the work that the Seminary is doing. So perhaps add “and thank you for everything you are doing.”
