Lifelong Learning’s Preaching Congregations Initiative (PCi), is a congregationally-based program of renewal and formation for preachers and listeners. Funded by a grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc., the overarching purpose of this program is to make preaching a truly communal endeavor, one for which preachers and listeners take responsibility and develop local, sustainable practices to identify and support preachers.
Recently, our PCi team announced a Young Adult Preaching Program, a new opportunity for young adults to find their voice and proclaim the Gospel. The six-month experience includes two in-person retreats, one-on-one coaching, and monthly sessions on the four stages of sermon development.Â
The program is open to all young adults ages 18-30 in Province VII of the Episcopal Church (Dioceses of Arkansas, Dallas, Kansas, Northwest Texas, Oklahoma, Rio Grande, Texas, West Missouri, West Texas, Western Kansas and Western Louisiana).
