I am in Los Angeles this week with Senior Vice President Nicky Burridge, who oversees Advancement and Communications. This visit is a wonderful opportunity for me to connect with members of our extended Seminary family here on the West Coast. I am looking forward to spending time with friends and supporters who have been part of our journey over the years and to meeting new people who share our vision and mission.
One of the highlights of my time here will be a special gathering on Friday evening for alumni and friends of both Virginia Theological Seminary (VTS) and The General Theological Seminary (GTS). It will be a joy to come together for conversation, reconnection, and fellowship, celebrating the ways these two institutions have shaped lives and ministries. I am eager to share the good news from both institutions.
As I reflect on these visits and gatherings, I am reminded that we have a powerful story to tell—a story of God’s faithfulness to both VTS and GTS through the years. In a world that is always changing, our mission continues to grow in scope, depth, and possibility. By God’s grace, we are poised for a vibrant future, and my time in Los Angeles is one more step in building that future together.
