Date: February 19, 2025
For two nights, returning Friday during the day, I will join the team in Institutional Advancement for a retreat. Senior Vice President Nicky Burridge is bringing her team together to think about the important work of friend-making. We will be thinking about the shape of our messaging in the light of the affiliation. We will be taking time to be together, to learn and understand each other, and to think afresh, post the Bicentennial, how best we can invite others to support our ministry.
We are in a new season. The achievements of Vice Presidents Hawkins and Dienno are well-known. Their focus was the 200th and their goal was the capital campaign. We now shift our messaging. In what ways can VTS serve the Church at this moment? And how can we get others excited about our work?
As we slowly ease towards the end of February, I do invite all our readers to consider making a gift to our Annual Fund. Do you can do it here. Our Annual Fund is our lifeblood. It makes possible the pattern of “class, chapel, and lunch”. We appreciate all gifts – from the participation ones (say just $30) to the major ones. Every gift counts. Thank you in anticipation.
