It has been a solid 18 months since Lifelong Learning has offered in-person events on the VTS campus, as all programming shifted online. Now that the Seminary is welcoming guests in small numbers (with masks required indoors and the expectation that guests have been vaccinated), Lifelong Learning is excited to extend VTS hospitality once again.
There are still a few remaining slots for the Godly Play Commuter Core Training Module I: Sacred Space and Sacred Stories tomorrow. This is part of a series of 3 commuter core training modules that can be attended in any order or location. So even if you are unable to join on this occasion, consider attending Module II: The Spirituality of the Child and Parables on November 13 or Module III: Supporting the Circle of Children and Liturgical Action Lessons on January 22. Dr. Rosemary Beales will lead the training assisted by Sarah Bentley Allred, ’19.
Interested in a class? Join Dr. Stephen Cook in an exploration of how the visual arts inform and enrich the study of scripture. The passages selected are coming up in the lectionary this fall. This class meets on six consecutive Monday evenings beginning September 20. Learn more and sign up for Bible Meets Art: Visual Interpretation of Scripture here.
And did you know that Lifelong Learning is giving discounts for VTS seminarians (and spouses) and staff? Please contact [email protected] directly for the applicable promo code.
Lifelong Learning also has plenty of offerings online, which you can explore on our Eventbrite page; I’ll give you a sneak peek Monday.
