Love Your Neighbor Ross Kane

Date: May 21, 2024

Today I want to recommend a fabulous podcast by our very own the Rev. Dr. Ross Kane. There are three podcasts now available: the first one provides an overview of the podcast; the second invites Dr. Lerone Martin to reflect on how the Civil Rights Movement was built on local congregations; and the third (and most recent) is a story of the Church of the Resurrection and their affordable housing project here in Alexandria, VA.

Ross is a lovely interviewer. He has the skill of asking the questions that his hearers will want answered. He is empathetic and gentle, yet the questions are demanding. The length of each episode does vary (anywhere from 20 minutes to 40 minutes) and the time goes quickly.

I suspect over the next ten years the podcast should be added as a legitimate medium of publication that should be counted as a Faculty output. This is a high quality and impressive listening experience. It is up there with “The Daily” from the New York. Do listen to it here.
