The academic journey is always arduous. Classes must be taken; course work needs to be completed; any and the hard task for achievement can, at times, be a never-ending journey.
When it comes to one’s doctoral studies, a significant milestone is the moment when you have passed all the required examinations to then move to the dissertation stage. One then can have the designation “All but dissertation” (ABD). When one is ABD, a crucial step has been taken. The doctorate is needed. The next stage is the research and writing of the dissertation.
I am delighted to share today that Ms. Ebonee Davis, Associate for Multicultural Ministries Programming and Historical Research for Reparations, is ABD. She has worked hard on her studies, combining all this with her family and work responsibilities. And, she has successfully passed her comprehensive examinations. Ebonee, on behalf of the entire VTS community, congratulations.
