New York Polyphony

Date: September 15, 2025

On Tuesday, September 16, we are honored to welcome New York Polyphony to Immanuel Chapel for an evening of extraordinary music. This acclaimed vocal chamber ensemble is known for its brilliant interpretations of works ranging from Gregorian chant to contemporary commissions, with a special focus on music of the 12th to 17th centuries. Their GRAMMY-nominated recordings and international tours have made them one of the foremost ensembles bringing early music to today’s audiences.

Immanuel Chapel is a stunning setting for this performance. Its soaring architecture and superb acoustics create the perfect environment for polyphonic music, allowing voices to blend with clarity and resonance. The space invites listeners into an experience that is both intimate and transcendent, ideally suited for the intricate beauty of New York Polyphony’s repertoire.

Hosting New York Polyphony is a privilege for our community. Congratulations to our professor of church music, Dr. Marty Burnett, for persuading them to come. Their creative programming and commitment to reintroducing early music promise an evening that will inspire and delight. We warmly invite neighbors, students, and friends to share in what will surely be a memorable night of music and reflection. You can get tickets here.
