This summer has been quite busy for the Office of Multicultural Ministries. Be it preparing for this year’s Introduction to Intercultural Competency training, juggling the complexities and ever-changing demands of the reparations program, closing out Spring semester items, or brainstorming program ideas for the Fall; there are always many irons in the fire. And that is why I’m so grateful for our student worker, Suzanne Hood ’22.
While navigating the responsibilities of a summer internship, Suzanne has also been hard at work supporting the Office of Multicultural Ministries and, more specifically, the reparations program. Before seminary, Suzanne worked in the field of museums and archives (something we instantly bonded over when she first came to VTS). As such, she’s spent the summer formatting much of the reparations research for publication on the website and other platforms. Suzanne is truly an asset to the program; having her as part of the team has been such a joy!
