It is a joy to welcome Mr. Johnny Knight to the chapel on Sunday afternoon for a piano recital, which will run for just over an hour. There is a tradition of talented seminary children – Ms. Janet Yieh, not only practiced on the Seminary organ for many years, but went on to have a distinguished training at Yale and the Juilliard School; she now is the director of music at the Church of the Heavenly Rest on the Upper East Side in New York City. Johnny is another amazing talent. He will be making his extraordinary piano playing available to the community. It will be followed by a reception.
One of the goals of the Chapel was to ensure that it is a place both for worship and a venue for music. Since its opening, the Chapel has attracted many talented musicians. The acoustic is made for music. It is a delight to invite Johnny to join the many gifted musicians who have gone before to this incredible space.
