I want to use today’s commentary to lift up the gift of Dr. Christopher Southgate. Chris is both an accomplished specialist in science (and written extensively on science and religion), but perhaps he is best known as a poet. We have a Deanery evening on Monday with an opportunity to engage with this remarkable and creative mind.
Deanery evenings are very simple. It is an opportunity for an intimate gathering with an invited guest. We deliberately cap the numbers so that the evenings are focused. And on Monday night, you can engage with this extraordinary poet. You not only get to know a significant voice in the Anglican world, you also get to learn. The format is always very simple. Arrive at 7pm and leave at 8.30pm, normally with a plate of goodies.
So, do take advantage of these evenings and Chris is an opportunity to engage with a rare spirit who knows both science and the arts….
