It is cool. I have now listened to Ross Kane’s latest podcast in his Love Your Neighbor series. It is a rich and deeply thoughtful conversation with David French, the New York Times columnist. The discussion ranges widely—from the genesis of affection for MAGA among evangelicals to reflections on possible futures. You can listen to the podcast here.
The Rev. Dr. Ross Kane is now enjoying a sabbatical. Having served as Academic Dean for the entire academic year, he deserved this opportunity to recover his research rhythm and advance his latest writing project. Through both his podcast and his scholarship, he is establishing himself as a deeply thoughtful interlocutor on the issues surrounding church and politics. I am looking forward to his next contribution.
I do admire faculty who seek to serve a range of constituencies. As a teacher, he connects with students. Through his podcast, he reaches lay audiences and those beyond the church. In his monographs, he engages the academy. Thank you, Ross, for the range of media through which you reach different constituencies.
