There is a small possibility that we might get some snow tomorrow morning. So, as we approach winter, it is worth reminding everyone of the Seminary’s process and policies.
By 6:00 a.m., the Seminary will have made a decision which will be advertised on our website, our social media accounts, and will be shared in an email message to the community. Given the overwhelming majority of students live on the campus, we do try to do everything we can to keep classes going (and for those who are commuting, please do ask a friend for their notes). For the staff, who are commuting in, we will decide whether offices are physically open or whether we want employees to work remotely. In addition, we will clarify the status of Chapel worship and whether the Butterfly House is open.
It is always a difficult decision. Various factors are weighed as we make the decision. And of course we are trusting the weather forecast often (which is amazingly good, but not always right). So as you hear news of snow, please do monitor your email and the website closely. We only inform you of closures; if you hear nothing, then please assume that everything is proceeding as normal.
