The Rev. Neal Goldsborough has been a hardworking Board member for many years. And when he shared the news that he was to be a presence in a play called “Someone Will Remember Us”, I thought it would be lovely to share the news with readers of our Commentary.
Neal served as a military chaplain. The Trinity Repertory Theater in Providence, Rhode Island has commissioned the play and interviewed a number of voices from veterans. The playwriters wrote to Neal and explained, “Your perspective was so vivid and compelling, and we remain moved by your journey. We know it’s a pretty unique (perhaps even weird) thing to become a character in a play, but we hope this news brings you pride and excitement. We are working hard to honor your story with great care.”
So, congratulations Neal. We are delighted for you. Let us know when the play is being performed.
