The Sprigg Lecture yesterday was extraordinary. Dr. Donyelle McCray provided insight into her exciting new project. Using the form of a letter, she explored the ways in which Pauli Murray combined her activism with her contemplation. It was powerful, moving, and beautiful.
Today we have the AAEC (Alumni Alumnae Executive Council) meeting. It is the last of the Convocation related events. Afterward, our guests will be calling a taxi or Uber and starting the journey back to their homes. As it happens, I am also traveling down to Charleston, SC. Charleston was our first pandemic event to be canceled back in 2020; so Dr. Hawkins and I promised then that we would make Charleston a priority once travel was permitted again. We are making good on that promise, and we will have the chance to visit the new Bishop.
So please pray for all the travelers on this day. May we all arrive at our destinations safely.
