Cristina Hurtado is a staff member in the facilities department, serving in the role as housekeeper. She has been on staff since the summer of 1999. Cristina has seen the Seminary transform tremendously over the last 22 years. “It’s just incredible, the rotation of students, staff, faculty, and leadership make this place ever-changing, and the mission and vision stays the same. I feel supported, valued, and enjoy my work.”
Her most memorable moment over the last two decades: “Meeting Bishop Desmond Tutu, not once, but three times! He was kind and had a gentle spirit, and when I told my family I met him – they didn’t believe me!”
The greatest gift that anyone can give this place is the gift of their time. Time is precious. And for the gift of those days given by Cristina, we are very grateful.
