Yesterday afternoon at 4pm, the summit on “Truth-telling and Reparations” started here at Virginia Theological Seminary. This is being organized by the Office of African Descent Ministries and the Department of Reconciliation, Justice, and Creation Care from the national church.
The goal of the summit is to gather Episcopal leaders – lay and clergy – who are engaged in reparations and truth-telling ministries, with the goal of sharing strategy, best practices, resources, and prayer.
We are delighted to have these guests on campus. This is an important summit where a key theme that has been central to the Seminary’s identity will be explored. A warm welcome to them all.
