One joy of being at VTS is that you can get to hear from some of the most important speakers in the theological and ecumenical world. In honor of the retiring director of the Washington Theological Consortium, the Rev. Dr. Larry Golemon, VTS is hosting a conversation on Ecumenical Learning and Interfaith Dialogue. It will take place starting late afternoon on August 26 and finishing on the morning of August 28. You can sign up here.
Ecumenism and interfaith are out of fashion. The trends that are opposed to conversation, mutual learning, and appreciation are in the ascendancy. This is a moment when we really think about why this is and what we can do about it. We have an impressive cast with speakers across the ecumenical spectrum and a Muslim speaker.
