Thank you Jenn Baker

Date: August 19, 2025

Jenn Baker, Program Coordinator for Doctoral Programs and Education Technologist for Academic Affairs at Virginia Theological Seminary, brings both heart and skill to everything she does. She guides the Doctoral Programs with grace and steadiness, ensuring they flourish year after year. Under her care, the Doctor of Ministry offerings have grown into rich, well-organized experiences that bless students with both excellence and compassion.

Beyond her leadership with the programs, Jenn is a trusted partner for faculty at both Virginia Theological Seminary and The General Theological Seminary. Her deep knowledge of educational technology—especially Brightspace—helps instructors teach with greater creativity and confidence. Thanks to her patient support and proactive spirit, students receive more engaging and life-giving learning experiences.

As Jenn wraps up a full summer marked by DMin intensives and simultaneously presence on the hybrid program intensives in May and August at GTS, her year-round dedication becomes all the more evident. Even after such full seasons, her commitment flows from genuine love for theological education and the people it serves. I am profoundly grateful for her gifts and hold deep admiration for the way she strengthens our programs, our faculty, and our community every single day. Thank you Jenn.

The Very Rev. Ian S. Markham, Ph.D.
