It is amazing. These gifted men and women make the journey to the campus to ensure that VTS and GTS are run appropriately and effectively. They do so as volunteers. In fact, the expectation is that they will all make a gift to two seminaries. But they do so because they believe in theological education and the Church.
Today the Board meetings start. There are two components. First, we have a plenary this afternoon, where we will learn about Faculty Research and I will provide a ‘state of the seminaries’ address. Second, tomorrow morning, we will have two board meetings – the VTS Board meeting and the GTS Board meeting. Tomorrow afternoon we will be easing into the preparations for Commencement, starting with the Service for the Mission of the Church.
Our Trustees are amazing. They are thoughtful, committed people. I am so grateful for their service. Thank you Board of Trustees.
