This afternoon the Board of Trustees will have a plenary. There are two major items of business. With our ATS Accreditation visit looming in 2023, we have the honor of having the Executive Director of the ATS, Dr. Frank Yamada, zooming into our meeting. It will give us an opportunity to learn about the state of theological education from the vantage point of our accreditation agency. The second item is the discussion of the Strategic Plan. This has been a long process that started in November 2020 and has involved a revised Mission Statement and now a plan. The whole process was started with individual interviews with Board members and culminated with open sessions with the Board members to discuss the draft plan. Along the way, we received suggestions from the student government, the AAEC, and friends of the Seminary.
This afternoon the plan will be given its final review. Final adjustments will be made. Then a revised text will come back to the Board in the business meeting.
