The start of a new semester

Date: January 29, 2024

2024 is upon us. The focus for so many years has been our Bicentenary. We can now put that historic moment behind us. Over the last five years, we have done some important work. We reflected with deep moral seriousness on our identity – where we had come from and the things that we have done. We had a campaign: we did some significant construction; we started a reparations program: and we have marked the moment with poetry, music, a play, and art.

As we start our third century of service, we need to build on our learnings from the past and now start thinking about the future. We are very aware of the many challenges facing the Church, the country, and the world. We have work to do on all of these fronts. Let us seize the moment and start the journey into this new century of service.

Today, we start the semester with a Faculty procession at the 8.15am Eucharist. See you all in Chapel.
