On Tuesday, the faculty met and made the decision to begin three faculty searches: one in Theology, one in New Testament, and one in History. This is an exciting moment for the Faculty. New scholars will soon be joining the VTS community.
We are very conscious that these are key areas for a VTS education. Searches are a great honor. Real human lives will think long and hard about relocating to Virginia and becoming part of VTS. At the same time, we will be thinking about generations of seminarians who will be shaped by the teaching and scholarship of these new faculty members.
As we begin to draft the position descriptions, please do pray for the process. May we get this right.
