I am deeply grateful for the depth and breadth of offerings provided by the Lifelong Learning department. Please take advantage of the upcoming events:

On Thursday, November 5, the Rev. Carol Pinkham Oak, D.Min., program director of the Lilly Endowment-funded Thriving in Ministry program, will present Thriving in Ministry: Structuring Conversations for Connection and Collaboration – A Ministry Model. Do you struggle to clearly articulate your position in difficult conversations? Do emotions sometimes muddle the issues at hand? Join Rev. Pinkham Oak and Erika Meyer as they share a conversational model that promotes clarity and understanding and leads to improved collaboration and strengthened connections.

On Friday, November 6, Deep Calls to Deep staff the Rev. Ruthanna Hooke, Ph.D., the Rev. Mark Jefferson, Ph.D., and the Rev. Anne Turner will lead online sessions exploring the readings of Advent and Christmas. Deep Calls to Deep: A Preacher’s Virtual Retreat for Advent and Christmas will engage participants in the hallmarks of the Seminary’s Deep Calls to Deep program: spirituality, imagination, embodiment, and community. Preachers will leave with significant preparatory work done towards their sermons.

Additional details regarding these offerings and many others offered by the Lifelong Learning department can be found here.
