Date: November 10, 2020

Back in 2016, the Board of Trustees decided that they, as a Board, should commit to multicultural training. This work has continued and will continue today. This afternoon they will gather on Zoom at 2:30 p.m. to reflect on the book I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness and a presentation by its author, Austin Channing Brown. I am grateful that the Board shares our commitment to this work. These are busy women and men who are determined to support the mission of the Seminary and recognize that a central part of that work is the engagement with our history and culture.  It is strange that this is not happening in person. We will do this work from afar. It would be lovely to show them our evolving campus. One day soon, this will happen. The Very Rev. Ian S. Markham, Ph.D. Dean and President
