Date: October 13, 2020

Today Convocation goes virtual. We have 200 or so alums signed up for the day. It starts at 11 a.m. with the Alumni Business Meeting and finishes at 6 p.m. after Evening Prayer. The highlight is definitely the privilege of hearing Dr. Gary Dorrien. Dr. Dorrien is probably one of the country’s leading social ethicists. He has engaged deeply with the Christian social tradition. His books Social Ethics in the Making, Kantian Reason and Hegelian Spirit, The New Abolition, and Breaking White Supremacy have all won awards. As an Episcopal Priest, he speaks powerfully to the public square from the vantage point of our tradition. Please sign-up here for this keynote address, The Black Social Gospel, the Crises of Our Moment, and the Struggle for Justice. Students and Faculty are welcome to participate in this day (staff are also welcome but would need to have the approval of their supervisor). So please do join us. It is exciting.  The Very Rev. Ian S. Markham, Ph.D. Dean and President
