Date: December 16, 2020

The first possibility of snow in Alexandria comes today and tomorrow. While we will have to wait and see how much snow will accumulate, it is a good time to review the Seminary’s snow policy.

A decision will be made regarding closures of offices and The Butterfly House and cancellation of classes by 6:00 a.m. for overnight snow events. A notification will be posted on the website and the phone system. The best place to park on campus, if the campus remains open, is by the campus mail center building to allow for the quickest snow removal. In terms of snow removal, priorities will be given to the student housing, The Butterfly House, the library, the Chapel and academic buildings. In the case of an afternoon or evening closure a decision will be made no later than 3:00 p.m., in most instances.

Remote work makes snow days seem like a thing of the past, however, it’s important to enjoy the wonders of the season.
