We don’t usually make these kinds of announcements in the Commentary; however, in these times of sacrifice, anxiety, and loss, it is good to revel in some happy news:
Santino Dut has been a part of the Seminary community since 2012. He has shared his story with many of us: he is one of the lost boys of the Sudan; he made his own difficult journey before becoming one of the beneficiaries of a resettlement program here in the U.S. Community. We all recognize his smiling face, currently as part of the Facilities team, and previously of the Hospitality department. We are delighted to share the news that Santino and his wife welcomed a baby girl, Akuch, last week. Both mother and baby are well.
Please join me in celebrating the joyous arrival of Akuch. And when Santino returns to campus, please share your warmest wishes with him as well.
